International seminar Oticon Regional Seminar 2026 in Vilnius: exchange of experience and new opportunities in audiology

From April 26 to 30, 2026, the team of the “AURORA” Hearing Rehabilitation Center participated in the international professional seminar Oticon Regional Seminar 2026, organized by Oticon in the capital of Lithuania – the city of Vilnius.

The event brought together specialists from different countries to discuss current issues in audiology and hearing care, becoming a platform for sharing experience, learning, and discussing modern approaches to hearing rehabilitation.

The seminar program included presentations of new products and technological solutions, in particular the innovative hearing aid Oticon Zeal, as well as other new products from the Oticon brand. Participants had the opportunity to join practical sessions, workshops, and trainings focused on modern approaches to hearing aid fitting, patient-centered counseling, and effective patient communication.

Separate sessions were dedicated to the development of professional skills, including presentation building, handling objections, and implementing digital tools in daily practice. Participants also explored updates to the MyOticon platform and visited the Audiomedika clinic, where they were able to observe European approaches to organizing patient care.

An important part of the program was a presentation by Olena Serbin, Medical Director of “AURORA,” who was invited as a speaker with the report “The Journey of Pediatric Patients.” In her presentation, she подробно outlined the patient pathway – from the initial detection of hearing impairment to the stage of hearing rehabilitation and further follow-up.

Key points of the presentation included:
• the critical importance of early hearing screening and timely diagnosis;
• the role of a multidisciplinary team (physician, audiologist, speech and hearing therapist) in achieving effective outcomes;
• the importance of an individualized approach to hearing aid fitting for children, taking into account age and developmental needs;
• the significance of active parental involvement in the rehabilitation process;
• the need for continuous follow-up to ensure maximum effectiveness of hearing care.

The presentation generated significant interest among participants and contributed to the exchange of practical experience in pediatric audiology at the international level.

The seminar became an effective platform for experience exchange, professional development, and strengthening international cooperation in the field of hearing rehabilitation.

The “AURORA” team expresses sincere gratitude to the organizers of the Oticon Regional Seminar 2026 and to Oticon for the high level of organization, the rich scientific and practical program, the opportunity to explore innovative technologies, and for creating a professional environment for productive learning and networking.

Special thanks are extended to the seminar speakers and experts for their valuable practical experience, openness to knowledge sharing, and significant contribution to the development of modern audiology and hearing care.
